Alphamin Resources is a low-cost tin concentrate producer from its high-grade deposits at Mpama North and Mpama South. The two adjacent mines are located on the company’s mining license, and the company also has an additional two exploration licenses in the North Kivu Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
At a tin grade of roughly 4.5%, Mpama North is the world’s highest-grade tin resource – about four times higher than most other operating tin mines in the world. At a tin grade of roughly 2%, Mpama South is the world’s second highest-grade tin resource.
Following the successful production expansion during 2024 from 12,500 tonnes of contained tin per year to ~20,000 tonnes, Alphamin management will continue to target high-impact exploration in search of the third tin deposit, ongoing life-of-mine extensions and additional production opportunities to fully utilize its processing capacity of 25,000 tonnes contained tin per year. Our cornerstone objective remains to mine safely with due regard to the health of our employees and the impact on the environment and to maintain a balanced distribution of value amongst key stakeholders, notably provincial and national government through legislated taxes, our local communities from our committed social spend, shareholders and debt providers.
Our management team has extensive sector expertise, having successfully explored and developed two producing tin mines during the past 6 years. We are focused on maintaining and growing the current operations, as we pursue our objective of realising the full value potential of this extraordinary tin complex.
